I have two red sexlinks. They were both laying in early January here in Vermont. One of them hasn't laid since January 10th. They both look happy and healthy. What could be the reason why one of them is slacking off?

I only have one sex link laying and they had laid fine up untill then... when we had the very cold weather mine stopped... They should start up again around March, end of Feb., as the days lengthen. They were just taking a winter break.

    Welcome to BYC.
I agree with CATRAY. Just taking a break. If it turned really cold or they were traumatized in some way they will usually stop for a bit. It is an inherited defense mechanism. As the days get longer they should start back up with a vengance. Watch them and make sure that there is not another underlaying cause but you should be back into production soon.
