She certainly was cute as a baby--and extremely confident looking.

And that sure is a beautiful rooster, too. Doesn't look like his sister. Did they have the same parents, or is he a half-mix from his sis?

They are the same mix. A Buff Orp daddy and a Barred Rock mom. That makes them black sex-links and that's why they look so different. They were in the first batch of chicks that I hatched myself and I was sooo happy about how they turned out!
