They do rest for a scarily long time while piping, that is necessary to absorb the big yolk and blood vessels. But the zipping is usually quick, so I would help that one along. Just gently continue pulling shell away and off, without tearing the inner membrane. The blood vessels should be dried up, if so, gently help the chick out of the membrane. If the blood vessels are full, DO NOT help, just let the chick rest and absorb.
