HELP! Pasty butt

A few of our chicks we got last week had pasty butt. We cleaned them this weekend and they all got better except this one. It is very dry. What can I do??

soak the bum in warm water. not too hot! make sure it’s thouroughly soaked. take a damp cloth and gently roll it between your fingers. once it’s all off, apply a small amount of vaseline under the vent and it shouldn’t stick.

she’s probably a little backed up if you know what i mean. pasty butt is the absolute worse and the only time i deal with it is when i buy from a store. none of the chicks i’ve hatched at home have had that issue

My family and I use the people ones all the time.
Wonder if this would help after it’s all cleaned up?

i found it easier to just hold their little booty under the faucet and let the water run over them until it was off or soft.

One of our babies had pasty butt pretty bad, we found running warm water over her bootie and gently wiping the poop off worked. We the blow dried her on a low setting. Had to repeat this several times. She’s a happy girl now
