First peafowl egg pipped yesterday morning, I noticed it at 7am. No progress at all and after all 3 other eggs began to unzip after pipping much later after the 1st I did an assist out of the egg. Very slowly, using water to keep everything moist etc. No visible damage to the peafowl so I stuck it back in the bator with the others to dry off. Frequently checked on them throughout the day, immediately noticed the first one wasn’t as active the others, one of whom was already unzipped and moving around the bator on its own. Tonight I began feeding #1 broth with a dropper to try and see if it needed a boost of energy. I have fed it about 3 times now with no more significant movement. This last feeding I noticed it’s left leg wasn’t being used at all, I gently pulled it out and released it and noticed it just goes limp. It’s toes are all curled in but no muscle tension. The leg just stays curled into its body. Can I fix it? It also seems like it doesn’t have the greatest neck control and keep dropping lower and lower until it’s resting on my hand while holding it, but could be just really depleted from having pipped almost 48 hours ago and not having any food yet.
Ideas?? I’d hate to lose it since I spent so much money on them!!
