Im confused, I myself have never bought or sold chicks via mail.. What do you ship them in? Just a closed up box? That seems awful for them.. In a dark box being tossed around.. What good if this gel stuff..? They cant eat in a dark box anyway..?? I am simply baffled and a bit horrified by the thought of this..

If you've bought chicks from a feed store, you've bought shipped chicks.

It takes a really sick person to "toss around" a peeping box labelled "baby chicks."

And they do eat the gel. Which usually doesn't matter because they should be shipped day of hatch, and they don't need to eat for seventy-two hours after hatch. Most people try to order from nearby hatcheries to lessen transit time.
