Help! Pecking order issues!

So lately my polish hen has been being picked on by a couple of my other hens (which she practically raised) and they are pulling feathers from her head. I have been applying no-pick every day, but sometimes that won't stop them! I have been (without causing actual pain) using to fingers and pretending to pick at them every time a catch them doing it, but I need to solve this issue ASAP! I would hate to have to re-home her, but I need to do what is best for her..,.. but It may just make it worse since she would be new to someone s flock. Please help!

what I would do is maybe seperate her from the girls that are picking on her or just give it time.

My friend has some silkie hens and the older one tends to peck at the other. What I would do is separate her in a different area away from the others

Put some pinless peepers on the troublesome pickers.
I purcheased 24 and the pliers to put them on at amazon for about 13 dollars.
I put a pair of these blinders on one of my hens who was a feather picker.
You may be able to remove them after a couple weeks and they will have forgotten about picking.
I would not separate the polish. It will just be harder for her to go back in.

Have read were Polish head feathers are targeted by others for pecking You can try putting the Polish in a wire cage with food/water in the coop with the rest, protection yet not having to deal with integrating later. Try those pinless peepers 50-45-1 recommenced.

Sorry that you are dealing with this not uncommon problem that frequently occurs with Polish in mixed flocks. Pin Less Peepers might very well be the solution. Separating her from the flock will only make things worse if you try to reintroduce her.

well... It's a good thing that separating would not help in this situation, because I am in the middle of building a new Coop and have no way to separate her (I can't even fit a tub through the small doors.... Thus why I'm building). How do they see to eat? And get on roosts? Do peepers hurt?
