This is an old thread, but thanks SO MUCH to the original poster! I purchased a brand new Octagon 20 Advance with humidity pump. I put THREE thermometers and two devices to measure humidity inside the incubator. The incubator temperature reading (on the control panel) was 99.6, while the thermometers inside the incubator read 97.3, 97.5, and 97.1. The incubator's humidity reading was 25%, while the devices in the incubator read 15 and 18%. So, out of the box, the incubator was running 2 degrees too cold and incorrectly registering humidity. The instructions from the OP were very well explained, and the remedy worked!!! I'm so glad I set up the incubator and tested it before setting eggs. At 97.5 degrees I don't think anything would have hatched.
