Hi! So I'm incubating a Rhea egg, if Is now 7 days plus a few hours into incubation and I'm seeing a red ring. Now I saw the same with my chickens before it filled with veins, however I've also seen this mean early death. I'll post a picture and see what you all think. Hopefully this is the correct place to put these questions ! Kind regards

YEs the egg has an air sac, but a red circle too, now I know about the ring of death but this is a perfect circle IN the egg not around?

I would leave it 3 more days and candle again. If the air sack hasn't grown in 3 days and the red ring is still there it's a bad egg. But defo leave it 3 days . X

Many people who incubate eggs have had the red ring and have had healthy chicks. The main thing as long as the embryo is growing it should be fine. X

I'm seriously praying for this little fella, it's just the shell is soooo thick on these I have no idea, thanks!

I say just keep it and see if it grows
