There's some things I'm prepared for, and then there's stuff like this, that just tragically comes along ... and, when it does? I just try 'n focus on caring for the flock, 'cause that's about the only thing that really helps.

Well, from your signature? It's clear you've a lot to keep you busy. And, even tragic losses serve some good purpose, as among those you're feedin' is a child's mind, body 'n spirit. My parents 'n neighbors had to help me to understand a great deal of hard lessons, as a child on this farm ... truths can seem so very harsh, but I wouldn't risk makin' any one of 'em go away, as I'm certain they've become an important part of who/what I am.

There's a fairly long (and still growing) list of animals that I miss to this very day ... but, it's remembering how very blessed I was by bein' raised here, and by those that raised me, and realizing how lucky your own child will likely feel someday ... that's what brings tears to my eyes.
