I just gave Rosemary (8 y.o RIR) her meds (liquid tribissen( and I think I got it down the wrong way and she is chcoking and sneezing. is she going to die? is she going to aspirate or has she? have I killed her?

The only thing you can do is massage her crop to try and make it go down...

You did what you had to do by giving her the meds......but you can only do what you can! She is in her later years.

uh oh! I dunno how did you administer? Did you force it down or syringe it in so she could swallow???

It could have gone into her lungs, or possible down the wrong tube.

I syringed it in and the syringe went down pretty far so I thought it went in the right way.

Hopefully it went into the crop. Massage it and try to help it in there. Maybe you bumped the side of her throat or something when you were in there.

well, she's not gurgling or coughing anymore, she's just sitting there sofftly clucking so maybe she's OK?
