I went to the coop this morning and one of my Golden Comets was sitting on the floor and her rear was all covered in blood. I brough her inside and let her soak in a warm tub for about 40 minutes. Then all of a sudden she started flopping around and died. The first picture is what she looked like after soaking for awhile and the second is what she was trying to pass. It was a double yolk but had no shell. I have had several chickens die that have looked like this and I don't understand why. I am in VT so I have a heat lamp running in the coop for warmth, they have water and a high quality feed. The coop is large enough for them to run around. Any advise would be great. I am very frustrated that I keep loosing chickens.
