Help please! I just got a new computer and now I see that BRIGHT white that others were talking about. How do I fix that? OMGosh, I have headache from it!

I am going to assume the machine came loaded with some version of win7 (if not, well, I played the odds).

I'm not sure what others did, but I wound up adjusting the settings on my monitor. I played around with the contrast, hue and brightness settings until I got something better.

Try adding Flux , I saw it suggested, tried it out and liked it.

As a GFM / PPM you can remove the column to the right, which tends to have the most "white space".
