Hello,
I am new to BYC and new to raising chickens. I have a very sick chicken and need some help.
On Thursday, my sex linked chicken, Ruby, acted like she could not poop. By the end of the day, she was very weak. A friend came over and gave her 2 enemas and some water. On Friday, Ruby was doing much better. She was still weak, but tried to walk around. She was ok as long as she did not fall. If she fell, she could not get up on her own. I saw her poop twice, it looks normal. Today is a different story. She is unable to stand by herself. One of her little feet is curling up. Her appetite is very good and she is alert. I am hand feeding her and have her separated from the others. Poop still looks normal. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
Ruby is 2 months old.
Taking Ruby to the vet is not an option.
