Hi anyone, These pictures are from this morning. I don't know which hen did it, we have a 6 month old Golden Comet and two 4 month old pullets that just came in two days ago. I saw some red gelatinous stuff in the Comet's poop once a few days ago, but not bright red so i thought it was something she ate while free ranging. That was pre-pullets arriving so I'm thinking it's from the Golden Comet. She is not laying eggs yet but probably should be by now given her age. She is acting fine, clean eyes, nose, no coughing or sneezing, eating and drinking as normal. The only odd behavior is she was up and awake at 5AM this morning, laying in the doorway half in half out, way before day break. I thought maybe she was warm and wanted some "fresh" (muggy, humid) air to breathe but that is atypical behavior. She spoke to me as I was replacing water in the dark so fully awake and alert. The red stuff is stringy and a little Jello like in consistency. Sorry about the crummy pics but the humidity kept fogging up the camera lens. What do you think? How do I treat? What could be causing this? Thank you for any guidance.

Probably fine, but keep an eye out for continued issues. I never worry about a single odd poo, but a pattern requires attention.

Intestinal shed, completely normal
Thank you both for responding - I feel so much better now.
What causes intestinal shed? Something they're eating? Does this occur before a hen's production cycle kicks in? I've never seen an occurrence of this before.
I think she may be getting close to her first lay as her comb and wattles have grown and are turning more red, although she still won't let me pick her up.
Sorry for the questions. I love learning from all you experts on this site. Thank you so much!!

Due to the roughness of their diet, a bird sheds the intestinal lining every few weeks.
