Hi guys,
Sadly I'm posting on this section. My hybrid of 2 and a half is acting lethargic. She doesn't seem interested in pellets, and I haven't seen her drink. Her poop is watery. She seems to stand listless. I would have thought coccidiosis, or worms. They were wormed in February, but I added flubenvet today to try and help. She usually has apple cider vinegar in her water as a tonic. Any ideas? I have an Poultry Nutri Drop that's 2 months out of date (liquid form) please help

Very sorry to hear about your sick hen.

Corid/Amprol is the treatment for Cocci, if you think that's what she has. I have no idea about availability in Scotland, but I'm sure you could order it online.

Has she been laying lately? How is her crop? Any discharge from eyes or nostrils?

It is vitally important that she stays hydrated. I would separate her in a crate and keep her in a warm, dim, quiet place. Offer food (boiled eggs and meal worms to entice) and water, of course. If she's completely gone off water, you're going to have to tube liquid to keep her alive long enough for the Corid/Amprol to work.

What did you use to worm them in Feb?

She seemed to have perked up. Still disinterested in food, but alert and clucking. Looked up egg peritonitis egg eggcessive, and was worried is was that. However I can feel no build up of liquid or spongy butt. Will keep an eye on her.
