I have 2 pekin ducks and one goose that all are about 5 weeks old. I took them on our usual stroll around our pond we have in front of our house and at his age they tend to wonder off (usually together in a trio). I didn't mind since I was still able to see them. However I let them out of my view for about a minute(i regret it -_-) and my pekin drake came runnning to me with his bill bleeding! I saw that he got bit, and I think it was a snapping turtle. I grabbed him and rinsed his wound and put hydrogen peroxide on it, hopefully to disinfect it. however im still very worried! how long will it take to heal? should i do anything else to help his bill heal??? I will upload a picture to see if it helps. My poor baby was so scared, so please any advice thank you!!
