My older keet is stumbling around and his wings are resting on the ground. My other chickens where pecking at him. He looks very weak and im scared he is going to die... Please does anyone know what to do? Or had this problem and fixed it? Please list anything you think might be the answer!!
Thanks

How long had he been showing these symptoms?

Any signs of injury?

I would separate him from the others and start him on some vitamins.

Any chance he could have eaten something toxic?

i have no clue my mom said that he just started haveing these symtoms today. what vitamins do you mean?

I would just go poultry vitamins. However, some people on here suggest Baby vitamins WITHOUT iron.

all i have right now is multi-drops for ALL birds it says and it has:
vitamin a
vitamin d3
thiamine
and riboflavin

Hopefully, you've moved him away from the flock already, so as to protect him from what they might do ...
Need to know more, as far as the symptoms; can do no more than guess w/o more information.

Immediately, you can replace it's water -- add about 1-2 teaspoon of vinegar per quart of water (aimin' for a pH of ~ 5, or slightly acidic). Water should be offered at room temperature. If it's bacterial, this will help ... in fact, if it's botulism? Vinegar is pretty much the only thing that will.

Do this for your flock as well, as it will absolutely do them no harm.
Check the food source for spoilage or infestation. Do NOT feed your birds, or any pet, food that mice or rats have gotten to.
Also, check to be certain your feed has not been recalled -- some has been, for a deficiency of Vitamin D, for too much Vitamin D, and for excessive amounts of Iron.

Watch your entire flock closely, to be certain your keet is the only one that's sick. Look for inactivity, or birds that just look sleepy -- that's often a sign that they're not feelin' well.

Be certain to update us as to any further information you can provide, and keep us updated on his condition.

actually 2 of them died last night... We were very sad. We have the last one in our house...

Sorry that's happened to you 'n yours ... it does. I lost a few keets during the first week, and one more later that flew out of the brooder (which I felt far worse over, as it was the direct result of my own neglect). It is sad, but it is nature. Try 'n learn what you can from it, and move forward into this next day.
