Portsmouth Virginia folks I need help. I have a huge back yard and it is against the Wetlands. It is nicely fenced and cannot be seen from the front of our house. I have had chickens since 2010. I started with 5 hens i purchased off of craigs list they have grown into 17. I give all of my neighbors eggs and have great neighbors. Today the city people came to my door and told me a neighbor complained about them they said the chickens were running all over making a big mess. My chickens never leave my back yard but they free range in my yard. They eat the bugs and we nor the neighbors have seen any snakes in our yards since I got them. My yard is beautiful and green and mowed. If you didnt know you wouldnt know the chickens were even there. Now the Portsmouth rulers want me to produce paperwork prooving when and where i bought them. I paid cash didnt get a reciept and it was off Craigs list. I am going to fight this and need help from others in Pm. Va.
