Our HOA doesn’t say anything about chickens. It states we can have “dogs, cats, birds and common household pets. As long as their enclosure isn’t visible to neighboring yards and they aren’t a nuisance”. However I feel like if they found out I had chickens they would make me get rid of them. I want to try and get ahead of this. Has anyone ever had luck making chickens ESA? Can an HOA still refuse an ESA? They do help my anxiety and other issues.

If your HOA is like some that I read about,, (trying to rule/manipulate people like some NASTY MEAN GOVERNMENTS,,) Then you face an uphill battle. You may have to take that issue up with local courts, as unfair. May need to hire pricey attorneys. :idunno
I am blessed to not be on any HOA area. I know many peeps move into such neighborhoods, think it is just fine. And in reality,, many are just fine and happy there.

WISHING YOU BEST,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,and,:welcome
