Help please. What is this?

Hi all,

My chicks are 2 weeks old and today we noticed this little one has a spot on his side that looks like it’s a bit bloody. She is acting completely fine otherwise and her poop is normal. What could it be and what should I do? First time chicken owner. Thanks so much

Could she have scraped it on something? Another chick peck her?
Best bet is to clean it off so it doesn't attract the attention of the others.

Glad you caught it quickly. Chicks will certainly keep pecking it if they see blood.

It doesn’t seem to be bleeding. Just a bit crusted with red so I assume it was at some point. So appreciate you!!

in that case i’m going to agree, clean it up so he doesn’t get bullied. no problem . chicks love to investigate new things.
