HELP please!!! Will my hen stay broody for more than 21 days?

Racoons!!!? Luckily we don't get them in Australia, so she's safe from those unless they can swim the Pacific. We do have our own pests, like snakes that can take eggs, but I've never seen a snake in my garden yet. Fraggle is quite secure, next to our glass sliding door in her cage. She pecked me a couple of times when I slipped the ten eggs under her last Saturday night. The eggs are "Light Barred", and their brother & sister had just won first place at a local show.

Chicks are due in a day and a half. I've left her to her own instinctive devices regarding egg turning, so here's hoping we have some little ones on Sunday.

She will stay broody for those 5 days. As long as you make no effort to break her habit, even if you notice her not sitting on them, when u bring in this new batch she should go back to her old habits! Your lucky broodiness is a hard habit to break!
