help please with auto turning of eggs

hi everyone, i have 2 different sets of eggs in my incubator, due at different times, i have read that i need to stop the auto roller at 18 days, but i still need to keep the others rolling, so heres my question, what will happen if i leave the 18 day old eggs on the roller? will it do damage to the chick? I cant split them up and have some on auto roller and some not, please can anyone give me some advise

I have removed a few of the racks and left the other eggs in the turner. Put your ready to hatch eggs in a little basket to keep them away from getting tangled up in the turner.

Over time you will learn to get all your eggs in at the same time. Many have different date hatches, but use a hatcher. This is the best way to do it. See if you can't find a hatcher. If you continue to hatch chicks you will buy or make more bators. You can never have enough, ask anyone here. Were this my eggs, I would remove the turner and turn the eggs by hand. This will cause less damage to the chicks. Even the first chicks that hatch can cause damage to the unhatched eggs.

thanks for the ideas and the welcome. how often do i need to hand turn the eggs? i work away from home, i can get back to them every 3 to 4 hrs though. will this be enough? They have been in now for 2 weeks. What about over night, will they be ok with a turn at 9pm and another at 5am (when i get up)

i am reading your pages here in new zealand and would like to compliment you all, this is a great site for people who are new to the chicken game. I have 10 silver spangled hamburgs in the bator and really looking forward to their arrival, this is my first time using an incubator though!!

I hand turn my eggs 3-5 times a day on average. Just a half turn, is easy if you put a X on 1 side and an O on the other side so you know they got a complete half turn.
