i bought this bird with my silkie from a farmer... Hen she says -this am making noises not rooster like but more like a loud sigh what do you think?

Could she just be mimicking the silkie because they are buddies??

id say shes mimiking the silkie but im new to this...

I think she is close to laying. I noticed my chickens make a weird sound before they lay an egg. Looking at the picture i'd say she will be laying soon.

Does it sound like cuck-cuck-cuck-cuck sometimes the last sound is prolonged.

It's hard to tell, but I don't see any pointy cock feathers, I think she's a pullet, and very close to laying age. Is she a Delaware/Delaware mix?

She is a coronation Sussex and a bit of a bully... But she is very close to a silkie rooster we have they follow each other around!
