Any updates? Id get that second coop, put in a few new females there remembering to use good introduction practices. There are excellent posts on this site about how to keep roosters non aggressive. They WILL be aggressive when hormones first hit them. If you follow the posts instructions you can help them become good boys. I'm sure someone here can post links.

Looking at your first coop. I think I would move the nest boxes to the other side just below the windows. Then use that whole wall for roosts, expanding the length of the roosts. My birds all roost at the same level, not the ladder approach, which I had in an old coop. Seem happier that way.

Just an idea.

I got some new birds and another coop, the whole story is scattered a bit, but I think the most consistency is on my Sunshine Motel thread. They haven't really mingled much yet, but it is early days. There are six newbies. THe second cockerel has started crowing, but both boys are still pretty tame. There hasn't been any fighting yet, but the hens are starting to split up and form two flocks.
