Help!! Can anyone point me in the right direction on what to do? My hens eye had what appeared to be spit in it a few months ago. She has been eating and drinking as well as acting normal. It started to look like an abscess, I’ve been using the microbial vet RX and gave her the drops as well. She seems slightly lethargic but is still eating and drinking. What can I do??

That is a HUGE amount of pus and it needs to be removed. Once removed, her eye should be flushed with saline and then you can treat it with terramycin ointment if you have any or triple antibiotic ointment if you don't. Twice daily for about a week.
This video is often referenced for how to get that pus out.

Thank you so much everyone!! I tried getting it out earlier but it feels like there is cartilage or something that’s stopping it from coming out. I’m going to try again now, hopefully I broke it up enough earlier that it will come out easier. Will keep everyone updated.
The pus is hard...it's not like human pus.
Some tweezers might help you dig pieces out.

once the ointment is on, do I just leave it uncovered? Or should I put gauze on ?
