Hello everyone, and Happy Easter!
So last year I got 2 ducklings, 1 mallard hen, and 1 Khaki Campbell drake. They were in a very nice size pen, with my 2 chicken hens, and let out to “roam” everyday. But I noticed that my drake was VERY aggressive to my smaller hen. It always looked like he was trying to twist her neck, and when she was able to get away from him he would grab her wing and pull her back. So we separated the chickens and the ducks. Problem solved (I hope).
Now my problem is we got babies!! 4 chicks, 2 turkeys, and we acquired 5 ducklings from the neighbor. The ducklings we acquired have been with the 4 chicks and 2 turkeys for the last 2 weeks. But since Thursday evening I have noticed that 1 of the ducklings (a Khaki Campbell) has been VERY aggressive to the 4 chicks, and 2 turkeys. So they were all moved to a bigger space, they are only 2-3 weeks old. I thought they just needed more space. When I moved them I observed the 1 duckling “pecking” and “pulling” at the turkeys and chicks. If they were eating or drinking he would waddle/run towards them and peck until they moved away from the food/water. I also noticed if the said duckling was waddling around and they were “in his way” he would peck at them until they were out of his way. It’s to where I do not think my 1 poor Turkey will make it much longer and I will have 1 very sad child. So I have found a new home for that one duckling. But my question is ARE KHAKI CAMPBELL DUCKS AGGRESSIVE LIKE THAT? IS IT IN THEIR NATURE? I have had Pekin ducks and mallards before and never had a problem like this. Please help and pray my little turkey “Turk” makes it. Thank you for your time!

You did right getting rid of it but I don't think that you should be keeping all those birds of different varieties together in the first place. I know it CAN be done but if those problems are arising I'd just separate as soon as it starts. Plus if you've got any little drakes they will get grown at some point and they might kill your chickens as they have different equipment that roosters do!
