Help please!

I need support and advice! I have been so invested into trying to help my little cross beak chick. Changing his food ad feeder to help him. Today I read and watched videos about how trimming their beaks can help. I prepared myself and had corn starch ready. But obviously it didnt end well. He squirmed and I cut too short. There was more blood than I expected. I wrapped him in a towel and kept applying the corn starch until the bleeding seemed to stop. We put him in a separate bin but next the others where they can see and hear each other.whats next? When can I give him ood and water? Will he be okay? Will he hate me forever? I've never felt like a more horrible person. I can't stop crying and shaking.

Muffins seems to be doing okay today! He is active and eating so I put him back with his flock mates and watched for a bit to make sure he wasn't pecked on. Fi gets crossed he will recover just fine!
