It’s okay, they can be sneaky about eating and drinking. I hardly ever see a single one of my chickens at the feeder during the day when I’m out checking on them. And sometimes during the hot weather they go to bed with smaller crops. They just don’t eat quite as much in the summer for some reason. You’d likely be able to tell if she hadnt drank all day, my guess is she’d be in bad shape. I would bet she is still recovering and if it’s hot she’s likely not as hungry, especially if she hasn’t been laying. She may also be foraging more during the day than eating feed.I think I am going crazy... Or maybe I am overreacting??? She is not at all lethargic. She doesn't seem to be in pain at all. But for some reason, I dont think she is eating or drinking.. Her poops are not green which means the biom in liver is getting muted out by the feed. But her poops are super small. I never saw her eat or drink today, except a couple times when I fed her by hand and when I brought there chicken salad. Her comb isnt floppy or pale which I assume means she isnt dehydrated. But again, never saw her drink. Her crop is pretty small, but I read that it emptys every 4-6 hours. Im not sure at this point.@alinas2010 could this be just the aftermath of her being sick?
Look at all those good signs you pointed out; ate the snack you brought out, doesn’t have a droopy comb, poops look normal, although small…you’re watching her closely and will see if she starts to go downhill again.
I know it can be stressful once they recover, you never want them to be sick again and start to analyze all the small things. That’s good you’re alert to the signs. Give her some time to recover, but continue to keep a close eye on her.
