Help please

sorry she is sick, it is so tough not being able to ask her how she feels. I had one act like this for 2 days. She kept a little in her crop. I watched the cameras and I saw she had caught and eaten a frog. I am guessing it did not sit well with her. Good luck, she looks like a cutie.

Do no restrict water with sour crop, or massage the crop. You only would massage a hard impacted crop. She needs water and electrolytes might be good.. Food can be withheld for a day. I would give some antifungal miconazole or Monistat cream orally 1/2 inch twice a day. Check her crop again each am before she eats or drinks. By tomorrow, you could offer some very soft watery egg.

Her dark green poops mean that she is not getting enough food, and that is do to her crop slowing down. Chickens drink a lot of water with crop problems. She may have something else causing her crop problem, and that could be a reproductive disorder such as salpingitis. Calcium can help to pass a stuck egg or perhaps a lash egg.

I would recommend reading this good article on treating crop disorders:

Thank you! I've followed the directions that were listed in the above article. If there is no change by morning with her crop, which doesn't seem to be emptying or getting smaller despite no food, do you have any other suggestions? I'm hoping the monistat cream does something but I'm worried about how long she has gone without food/nutrition. She's definitely feeling thin tonight. She ate scrambled eggs yesterday (Thursday) mid day but I think it's probably still in her crop, and she hasn't eaten since. 😞 I'm starting to get really worried.
