Hello everyone my name is Tina, new to the sight. Moved to Conway South Carolina about 17 months ago my husband is wanting to get into laying hens. I don't want to start out with chicks, so where do we buy hens that are of laying age?

Check locally, try craigslist, and check online to see if you can find poultry swaps around you. That is where you are likely to find hens. They are a lot more expensive then chicks, however.
