What did I find in my nesting box?

Looks like lash material, a sign of reproductive issues .

That's a lash egg but nothing like what I've seen before.

Do you happen to know or guess which one laid this? She may be fine, but many have a reproductive infection.

That is a lash egg, I do hope you were wearing gloves during your handling of it, particularly as you were cutting it apart and examining it

Just wanted to follow up...
I have close to 50 chickens and have not seen one showing any symptoms.
I do have ~8 hens that are around 7 years old.
Also, I have a couple hens with signs of gleet, but nothing horrible.
I will update if i see anything unusual.
