don't be upset if the assisted chicks don't live sometimes that's the exact reason they don't hatch but its always worth a try for the healthy ones i have three assisted ones thriving in my backyard right now

So, I candled the eggs and all but 5 are empty. I don't see any movement from the others. When you say pip the air sack, do you mean poke a hole in it?

if you see a beak or a black mass in the air sack that means they pipped the air sack and if you see a crack on the inside that means they internally pipped

Ok I rechecked the 5. I do not believe they've pipped yet. I'm not seeing any movement either. I read on the step by step assisted hatching thread that Ayer they are overdue to water test them. Tonight is day 24. Do you think I should give it another day?

no but i would try water testing them first before you do anything but do it quickly since eggs have pores and the water can seep in
and make sure the water is warm

put them back and wait two more days and candle again every day to see if there is progress
