Help please!

I have a brooder sitting in 5 eggs- I went in there just now and she was sitting 2 boxes over on 2 other eggs - question how long can the eggs go without being sat on?? I felt them and they are cold- I'm so sad right now ugh
I think what happened is she got off to eat and one jumped in to lay (becuase there was an extra in there) she must have went bk to go in, saw the other chicken, so took a different box with the 2 eggs ... She has been really good, and I think it was just a flukey thing - but now I'm worried that they will die !
What should I do??

12 hrs- good luck just move the hen back on nest- I have a hen on a nest
and she is on 3 eggs, another hen came and got on the nest, she hopped off. the other hen laid an egg and when this hen came back she ate the new egg and got yolk on the other eggs day 18 or so, I am not going to wash eggs just hope they still hatch.

I don't think it was that long.. I did take her her out of the other box, she went and ate a bit then went right back to her 5 eggs- so I hope they are alright!! They are on day 8 -
What do I need to look for to know if they survived or not? Do I check in a day or two - or what should I do...

check eggs later if no veins they didn't make it.

It was hard to see the veins when I candled them last night - i don't know if my light wasn't bright enough or my eggs are dark - I put a post on here with pictures to get people's opinion on them but no one looked at them I guess..

I like to use a nice bright light, these cost about 9 bucks.

Just check again in a few days....if they survived they will continue to grow as the ones in Gimme Birdies pictures....but don't worry if you can't see quite that much detail. I could only mostly see a dark shape that kept getting larger. I could not see a lot of detail with my flashlight.
