I came home from work and my cockerel has bumps on his comb and wattles what is it and how can I cure it

That's dry fowl pox, a virus without a cure. The fowl pox virus is mainly transmitted by mosquitos. It's possible other birds in your flock may get the virus as well. But don't worry, the virus will go away on its own in a month more or less. You can put black shoe polish or iodine on the wartlike nodules to help dry them up quicker. If you do this, avoid the eyes. If hens become infected, eggs are safe to eat. The disease is not transmittable to humans.

Hi, it looks like Fowl Pox .. There's really no treatment, unless they get a secondary infection from it..... Theres several threads on here about Fowl Pox...
