HELP PLS ...

Hello all - i am new to hatching eggs ... i had 12 eggs under a broody hen .. which day 21 would have been monday just gone ... one hatched on tuesday at 3 30pm and another this morning at 8 30 am ...

I am wondering .. will the others still hatch .. i have had a look and no more pipping has started on any of the other eggs .. and am not sure whether they will .. out of 12 though i wuld expect more than 2 to hatch ???
the other eggs are still very warm .. a couple are cold.. so i assume they are not going to survive ??
any tips ...

Did you set the eggs all at one time or did other hens lay in the nest while she was brooding? Mama will eventually start taking care of her new babies as she should and leave the nest. I'm no expert, my first broody is hatching as I type. From what I have read on BYC the eggs can hatch over several days. I will check unhatched eggs on Fri or once Ms Pancake takes her new babies for their first outing off the nest.

Thanks for the advice... i am going to leave them be for a few more days ..as i did read that on here actually... i guess im just being impatient and thinking 21 days has passed and only two are here so far with no others pipping yet !

im sure the will be here soon enough ... like waiting for your own off spring i guess
