I just received my order of ten chocolate turkeys, and the hatchery sent eight free chickens on accident, lol. I was wondering if I could feed them the same feed as my coco turkeys, which right now is 19% protein gamebird and turkey startrena.

Is it a 19% gamebird and turkery starter? I am not sure if the last word there is a typo or a brand. As long as it isn't a layer feed with added calcium and the crumble is small for tiny digestive systems (or you could consider a side of chick grit) it should be fine. I would read through the nutrition info to double check. I have a mixed flock and feed a 19% grower to my chickens regardless of age. 20% range is pretty standard for chick starter. I have used gamebird feed in the past.

There are a variety of feeding options for chicks and mixed flocks you just want to stay away from anything with added calcium mixed into the feed.

They'll do fine on it, as long as it's not the very high protein stuff (20 - 22% would be ok, 26 - 28% would be too high.) Just be sure the crumbles are small enough that they can eat them. Sometimes, I have to buzz them in my blender for the first few days.

sry, it's actually 30.What will this do to the chickens?

Not a good idea. It will be hard on their kidneys. Until you have time to get some chick starter, can you do a mix of 1/2 oatmeal, and 1/2 of your game bird starter? Or even 2:1?
