I have this young silky hen that just started laying a couple months ago she's gone broody we have been trying to break the birdiness and I know silkies are notorious for being broody hens but it's getting a little cold and I really don't want her sitting on the nest or whatever fine she finds for that long at this point in the year if I put a egg under her that is either hatching or is going to be hatching in the next couple days Will that break her broodiness if she gets a little chick or two

If she has a chick, then yes...generally that will make her come off the nest.

How cold is it getting?
It's starting to get pretty cold which is why I don't want her to stay broody I want her up eating so that she keeps gaining weight for the next couple of weeks cuz snow is right around the corner but there is heat in the coop I know it's a cage 22 but I don't want her to get sick or hurt she's too young
