two of my girls aren't acting themselves. One of them is very droopy eyed, no nasal discharge that I can tell, and sounds like she's "congested" and sneezing/coughing. She walks around ok, but has been hanging out under a bush where I can't get to her (even after trying to persuade her out). My other has clear nasal discharge, doesn't seem to be sneezing/coughing, walking a little slower than normal. I have been able to catch her when she came out and have put her in a large dog crate to separate her from the others. Any ideas here? Really worried about them. Also I have an RIR that has started laying. She's been around these chickens but she's acting the best out of all of them. What would you guys suggest I do with the eggs she lays from now on until I get to the bottom of what's going on with my others?

No ideas, but you should try and get that other one. Bribe it out with food and separate her.

As far as the eggs go, they're probably fine.
I hope someone else has some ideas.

I tried bribing with food, even treats and nothing. She getting less and less willing to move.

I did just catch the other one. They are both showing completely different symptoms. My RIR has the discharge ( clear, but no smell) her eyes are totally clear and alert, and sounds like some "congestion". Now that I caught the other and could look her over closer, she has no discharge or "congestion" , but is sneezing/coughing and had droopy eyes, but is walking around.

I'm glad you caught her. I wonder if she was planning on sitting on eggs under that bush?

Are they eating okay? Do they have appetites? If they won't eat regular food, will they take treats?

My RIR is. Not to haven't noticed if my other is or not, the times I've been out to check on them she's just there. When she came out from the bush it was like she perked up some, it took me a few minutes to actually catch her as she was running away from me.

I'm curious, I was looking online for things to do for them and came across where it said using ACV in water and offering dill, basil, and other herbs can help with respiratory issues. Worth a try or no?

I don't know about the herbs but ACV is very popular, but you need the apple cider vinegar to be alive and unpasteurized for the benefits.

It should say on the label. The benefits come from the probiotics. You could try some unflavored yogurt too, anything like that.
