I had to work last night and we had bad storms that took the power out at my house. I have 6 chocolate turkey eggs in the incubator due to hatch on the 23rd. The temp dripped down to 71 degrees before I could get to them. Any chance they are still alive?!? I have plugged them up to the generator and am getting the temp back up now. I also haven’t opened it or tried to candle yet.

I'm betting they'll be ok.
A temp drop is less dangerous than a high temp spike.
Not much you can do but wait and then candle in a day or two to see what's what.

Its too late. My husband had a mishap and the incubator fell off the countertop. They were all still alive but none made it through the fall.

Thank ya’ll for responding though! Its a lesson learned for when I eventually try again lol

For future reference, eggs are super resilient! My aunt had a hen that left her eggs for 2 days around day 15, and she came back and hatched them all! The embryos will go into a hibernation state, and as long as it's not freezing outside (or inside) then they'll be fine. Room temp is good for hours and they'll still live. So sorry for your loss! Do you think you're gonna try again?

Oh my gosh, I am so sorry this happened to you. I will keep my fingers crossed for you guys. I hope your husband is t being to hard on himself.
