Help! Problem with poop!

There is a piece of poop stuck to the bottom of one of my chicks. I read somewhere that this could kill the chick. How do I take it off? I tried pulling it and it didn't easily come off and she spit up. Help me please! I'm so new at this!

Thats pasty butt. i run my chicks bums under a light flow over warm water till it comes lose. Don't pull it!!! I would keep checking its bum it might happen again.
