HELP! prolapsed vent chick?

My poor little buff Brahma baby is suffering from this do you just apply witch hazel to the outside of the vent? How many times during the day do you apply it? I don’t want to lose my baby she is eating and pooping, but still so swollen

I used witch hazel to clean the poop or any other debris outside of it every few hours. Epsom salt soak helps as well for pain too. Vetericyn plus is your best friend for this or any other wound. I sprayed that on every time I cleaned her. My poult is 100% recovered from it now. I hope it helps you as much as it helped me. Add apple cider vinegar to the water to help with vitamins as well.
