Is it possible that two of my six feed store brooder pullets could be roosters? At 13 weeks Michelle is taking on more rooster(ish) traits and has been seen chest bumping Cogburn (formerly Ginger). She/he was in a mixed pullet tank so breed identification would be great too.

Ok, next question, I only want one rooster, (original plan was only hens) which wound be the better one to keep this beauty or Cogburn the RIR?

I agree male. Do you have a picture of your other male. Most hatcheries have a 90% guarantee so it's possible to get a male. If the hatcheries sent extra chicks, often times the extras are males. Good luck and have fun...

Purchased at Orschelns, they do not care if I have 1/3 of my pullets turn out to be roosters. This is Cogburn at about 11.5 weeks. Compared to Michelle today at 12.5-13 weeks.

Keep The Silver Laced Wyandotte boy!
Rhode Island Reds are known for being kind of aggressive ( others might have nice RIR Roos, but they are rare. )
Also, if you are planning on hatching chicks the silver boy is the way to go, I have a silver laced English Roo, and his chicks are really beautiful.
