No it doesn't. That's my big concern. She squeezed the egg till it popped out of the membrane. After the egg came out in the video though, the tissue looked like my hens tissue. It was open, where the egg came out. I sure hope I didn't make it worse by cutting it. But it had to open up for the egg to come out...

I have a poultry vitamin for their water and I put it in hers tonight. I am calming down and the dread is setting in as to what I am going to find in the morning

I wish I would have known about prolapse before. I'm so afraid I made it worse for her and she will wind up with infection

I do not like the local vet, as they put chickens on the very bottom of their priority list. But I'll take her there if I have to. Time will tell. Thanks to everyone again...

grossest thing I ever did was prolapse. And Wyorp rock was helping me. And that was sticking my finger up a chickens butt and holding it there for a good 10 mins. That my friend is disgusting and something I swore I would never do. LOL Come to find out she was so swollen it wasnt going to stay anyway. So after umpteen soaks and a few drugs (for both of us) it finally did stay. The tums made a big difference. I could actually feel it. hahaha Do you have calcium on the side for your chickens ? Egg shells crushed up or you can buy it .
