HELP!! Quail eggs

Thanks! It's still doing ok. It's been over 6 hrs and it still is not walking. I though quail were quick to get going but not this little one. Anyways, here is the little one. It's dried of well and is cute as can be. It refuses to stay on the paper towel in the bator. Lol. Here is Lucky (think that is a fitting name)

CamiLynn, I had a somewhat similar hatch recently. I read every webpage that I could about raising quail, and thought I knew everything there was to know about quail; boy, was I wrong. I started with 18 eggs, and at lockdown on day 14, I candled each one and had 5 unfertilized eggs. Hatch day came and went, and I started getting worried. Early in the morning on day 21, my first quail hatched, and about 12 hours later, my second one hatched. Three days later, I float tested the remaing eggs, and they were all dead. I was disappointed, but sometimes Mother Nature takes a vacation and "things go wrong". My 2 surviving Texas A&Ms are 22 days old today, and doing well. I currently have another batch of eggs in the incubator on day 3, so I'm going to really keep an eye on things.

may I recommend that you stop by to the Quail Forum (listed under "other backyard poultry"). There are many experienced quail owners there with plenty of experience that can answer just about any question you may have about quail. And by the way, good luck with your quail.
