Okay, so I have 40+ chicken eggs in my incubator, and my dad gets three duck eggs. Turns out they were rotten, but we kept them in the incubator for a while just to be sure there was nothing growing inside them. Well, its about 2 days after my chicken eggs were scheduled to hatch and I'm wondering if the rotten eggs might have killed the chicken eggs? I dont have any way to candle the eggs, and I dont want to break it open because I'd feel bad if I killed one.

The next group in the incubator is scheduled to hatch on the 25th.

I was planning on these eggs hatching too, because I have a non-rotten duck egg waiting to go in, and I need a spot to put it.

hold the egg up to your ear and tap the big end if it sounds hollow then they might have died early on day 16 or 17 it might be best to break one open though you can always learn from your mistakes
