Help/Questions about Bullying Hens

I would not pull them out. As hard as it can be to see them pick on the others, it is no where near cannibalism from what I can tell. My leghorn does this too sometimes and I try to discourage her from being aggressive but she's top hen! As long as you don't see aggression toward YOU, or full blown bloody attacks on the other chickens, this is normal chicken stuff.

Sure if it makes you feel better, I just witnessed my white leghorn grab onto another hen's waddle and pull like it was a toy! Poor girl yelped and they broke it up, but still...! Hard to watch them be nasty to one another as a chicken mom lol. Mine sometimes have little scabs and scuffs on the face, comb and waddle area due to scuffles. Totally normal.

If I have a bird who's overly unpleasant to her flockmates; pulling feathers out, any wounds, chasing too much; she moves on. Having a pleasant peaceful group worth it! There's always going to be some drama, but if it's too much, the culprit leaves. She or they might work out just fine in another flock, and it's not like trying to place a BAD rooster! Mary
