Help! Raccoons got my ducks, can I still hatch her eggs?

so sorry about your ducks, rjohns39 is right you need to get rid of the coons, before they come back and do more damage. Also Texas Kiki is the hatching queen, so I would take her advice as well. We are glad you decided to join us, see how helpful we can be in no time flat!!!

I am using a pad-lock latch with a carabiner. No raccoon has learned to open that so far…

Me too and you can get carabiners at the Dollar Tree. I alway turn mine upside down too. If that makes any difference idk but I make a habit of doing it.

I'm just throwing this out there because I want to know. In an emergency, something like this tragedy or if you have eggs in an incubator and it suddenly doesn't work anymore could you put a towel on the bottom of a crock pot, put it on low with a little dish of water in there for humidity as well as a thermometer? Maybe tip the lid if it gets too hot? At least until you got another incubator?
