I have golden pheasant eggs in the incubator. They're at day four.
I've read a couple posts on here that indicate higher humidity for pheasants than chickens. I just hatched out bantam chicks at around 35% humidity for the first 18 days and then 65 for the lockdown.
I'm trying to get higher humidity for the pheasant eggs but the Genesis is just not willing to go above around 36-40 with just the one tray filled. I don't want to go ahead and fill the other tray uless I have to...what should the humidity be for pheasants and does anyone else have this incubator?
I think the hygrometer is accurate.

im about to put 12 eggs in my self i got the info off a web site how to hatch pheasants did a search on pheasants it said 60% at 99.5 temp good luck

thanks, but I can't get my humidity to stay above 40%. I filled half the second well tonight and it's holding at 55.

If yall want your humidity to stay up more just add a small wash cloth or sponge

then see what happens

I cook all my pheasant eggs 45-55% for incubation 65+ for lockdown and have good results. I have a couple of hovas though 1 I only use as a hatcher the rest will usually stay about 45-50% if all water trays are full throughout. As destin duck so rightly pointed out wet down a porous object and place it in there--- dish cloth, diaper, femine napkin, trauma dressings, and dish sponges all work quite well for this.
