help! removing color zip ties from leg

help! removing color zip ties from leg.. I have placed color zip ties 3 weeks ago on different breeds.. these breeds are now about 6 weeks old.. time to increase size if ties on leg.... They are not too tight now.. but how do I remove these ties without hurting chicken? I do not want to use knife or blade.. some sissors are too small.. what to do? I heard maybe a safety pin? please advise ASAP. Thanks standing by...

Use wire cutters to nip 'em off.

I used the scissors. I never felt comfortable putting them between the leg and the tie so I just nipped of the knot where the tie is connected at.

I use toe nail clippers. They seem to be the easiest safest way I have found to remove ties.
